Enzo Gagliardi, Sales and Marketing Director of Lamborghini Geneva, answers our questions about the brand's new hybrid bull bomb, the Lamborghini Temerario.
First of all, can you tell us about Lamborghini's strategic evolution over the last few years?
Lamborghini has made the bold choice of moving towards purely hybrid models, while keeping the DNA unique to the brand, which we can summarize in three words: Power, innovation and design. The main philosophy has always been to give nothing to passion, which is perfectly illustrated by our three iconic hybrid models.
Exactly, can you get into the details of these models?
The new Lamborghini era began with the Revelto and its incredible electrified atmospheric V12. Then comes the Urus SE and a V8 bolder than ever. Finally, we have just welcomed the Temerario, an authentic « Fuoriclass ».
Each model embodies the perfect fusion between Lamborghini's legendary thermal power and the precision of electrification.
The famous Temerario... What do you mean by « Fuoriclass » ?
The Temerario is a unique and unique model. It does not follow the trend, it exceeds it. Or the bump. That's why she deserves the name of « Fuoriclass ».
What are the characteristics that make this model so unique?
There are so many... Let's start by evoking its biturbo V8 atmospheric motor combined with 3 electric motors, for a total power of 920 HP and a stunning result! Note that it can go up to 10,000 laps per minute, an unprecedented feat for a serial supercar.
The performance is breathtaking, the driving pleasure is instant and a new form of connection is created between the driver and the machine.
What about design?
The Temerario approaches a brand new design, bold, with futuristic touches as on the new daylights – but it is also an ode to the brand's icons to the bull, Lamborghini having always had at heart to value its history and heritage, in a spirit of intergenerational transmission.
The comfort has also been redesigned, if I don't abuse it?
Absolutely. The interior embodies philosophy « Feel like a pilot » : an immersive driving position, more space thanks to elongated wheelbase, redesigned comfort seats and a much better habitability than the Huracán —even for large or curved drivers.
The cockpit relies on ergonomics inspired by aeronautics: steering wheel-centered controls and sophisticated digital interfaces, making driving more intuitive.
In short, the Temerario is the most comfortable supersport on the market!
How do customers welcome this evolution?
Lamborghini's project is ambitious and corresponds to societal developments; our clients are well understood and adhere mainly to this orientation, especially that ecological commitment does not limit the capabilities of our hybrid vehicles but on the contrary, increases their power. This new era has attracted many new customers, who can agree with their values without sacrificing the pleasure of driving.
The brand's historical customers were not reluctant?
It is true that the announcement of Lamborghini's new strategy may have caused some brand enthusiasts to fear a loss of DNA specific to atmospheric engines, their power and their famous noise. As I said, it's the opposite! Historical customers, with whom the whole concession shares the same passion, have realized that Lamborghini does not propose a compromise but another dimension of the thrill. The « Beast » is not close to being tamed...
