Aventador S offers a unique combination of dynamic steering (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) and rear steering (Lamborghini Rear-wheel Steering) for outstanding performance. The « LDS » adapts to the selected speed and driving mode from direct direction to more indirect direction, while the « LRS » manages the rear directional axle via two electromechanical actuators. Thanks to this system, handling and bend performance are improved at low speed, while vehicle control and stability are ensured at high speed.

The new Aventador S Roadster is equipped with magneto-rheological front and rear dampers with pushrod system. These devices constantly change the behaviour of the suspensions according to the condition of the carriageway and the driving mode chosen by the driver. In addition to compensating the roll and unwanted movements of the hull, the system has been specially designed to work with the Rear-wheel Steering System, providing the ideal solution in every situation.

The Aventador S all-wheel drive system has been optimized to work specifically with all new active systems, including rear wheel steering. This system ensures excellent performance in low grip situations. The torque distribution between the front and rear axles varies dynamically according to the driving mode selected by the driver and the driving conditions. In addition, the Aventador S can count on a new generation of Pirelli P Zero tyres, specially developed to optimize the vehicle's active and innovative systems.

Whatever the driving situation, the new Aventador S Roadster allows you to take full control of the vehicle thanks to the dynamic mode selector. This device makes optimal adjustment of the engine, transmission, traction, steering, suspensions and stability control according to the chosen mode: STRADA, SPORT and CORSA. But it is the addition of a fourth mode that makes the Aventador S Roadster unique: EGO mode. This new option, which allows you to customize each setting, gives life to a more personal driving experience than ever before.

The central motor with 12 cylinders of 6.5 litres of cylinder capacity and 740 hp of power at 8400 rpm. is distinguished by its characteristics of extreme ease of climb in high regimes and by an immediate response time. The exceptional acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds only partially describes the power of the Aventador S Roadster which represents a true reference in the supercar world.

The ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox ensures ultra-fast gear changes and great emotions. The design objective was simple: to achieve an extremely fast robotic gearbox capable of generating unique emotions. In addition, the ISR gearbox offers two important advantages in the construction of super sportsmen: an extremely small weight and dimensions that are even smaller than those of a manual gearbox.
